How to play

First place all the marble glass balls (10 pieces) of one color on one corner (image I), and everyone takes turns moving in a clockwise direction, starting with the youngest player. Each time a player can move one marble glass ball towards the opposite base, the first one who have all the marble glass balls reached the opposite corner will become the winner. The winner of one district will play against the other winners from different districts at the final battle.

There are 2 ways to move the marble glass ball:

1. "Move / Crawl" A marble glass ball moves to one of the six adjacent holes (image II).

2. "Bridge / Jump": Your marble glass ball (A) and another marble glass ball (B) on the same straight line, it doesn't matter which party it belongs to, if there is no other marble glass ball blocking between you and then you can jump. E.g. if there are 3 holes between your marble glass ball (A) and the other (B) without any blocking (image III), you can jump to another 3 holes after the marble glass ball (B)(Image IV). The same distance can be made accordingly and jumps can be made continuously or backwards. Until there is nothing left to jump, you can choose to stop at any one of the places. Next player moves.

Because the chessboard is specially designed for 12 people to play together. Therefore, there are more movable possibilities than an ordinary chessboard (6 players), and the distance that can be jumped is also relatively further.

However, the target for this battle is 12 people, so it may be crowded. We try to limit one game to 2 hours and 15 minutes, so players are expected to make decisions and move their marble glass ball within 10 seconds.

*"Wise and resolute":
As a gentleman of the game, the game stipulates that if a player has picked up any of his own marble glass ball, he cannot change his mind or use another marble glass ball to move.

Original rules

(but not our rules)

In the original "Halma" game, the chess pieces that normally serve as bridges and the jumping chess pieces must be adjacent to each other, and there cannot be space or long distance jumping. After testing and discussion in general, we still believe that the changed rules (now also the Londoner Checkers rules) are relatively exciting and interesting, so the competition decided not to use the game "Halma" rules.
